Jack Smugler has been a lawyer since 1981. He’s also been a fishing boat mechanic, assembled hydraulic cherry-pickers, developed non-profit co-op housing, represented Canada at U.N. meetings on urban sustainability and assisted with many small business start-ups.
Tunde Nemeth has been working with us since 2001. She has a Masters Degree from Carleton University, and is a registered trademark agent. She was foolish enough to marry Jack in 1999, but doesn’t regret it (most days).
We began the law firm in 2010, but before that we worked together under a different name since 1999.

We Do U.S. Trademark Registrations
We are registered and insured to do U.S. trademark registrations for Canadians. You’ll only be dealing with one contact for both marks and our fees are in Canadian dollars. We specialize in coordinating Canadian and U.S. applications to maximize the benefit while minimizing your costs.
